The Software Support Engineer will be responsible for maintaining platform quality, resolving technical issues, and supporting continuous improvements across existing systems. The role requires strong ownership, attention to detail, and close collaboration with technical stakeholders.
- Triage, investigate, debug, and resolve issues from assigned bug reports and support requests.
- Review features developed in staging environments, validate functionality, and ensure readiness for production deployment.
- Promote approved features to production while managing incomplete work through feature branches or feature flags.
- Maintain reliability of existing functionality and proactively prevent regressions.
- Support backend maintenance of AI-powered applications, including agent orchestration workflows and related systems.
- Collaborate directly with technical leadership to prioritize tasks, provide updates, and drive solutions.
- Monitor platform performance and contribute to continuous improvements in stability and engineering processes.
- Maintain consistent communication, visibility, and proactive engagement throughout daily activities.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate is a versatile software engineer with strong full-stack experience, excellent troubleshooting abilities, and familiarity with modern AI-driven development practices.
- Strong background in full-stack software engineering, including both frontend and backend development.
- Experience maintaining, debugging, and supporting production backend systems.
- Hands-on experience with AI/ML systems and agent-based tooling, such as Claude, Codex, Grok, or similar LLM orchestration solutions.
- Familiarity with feature branching, feature flags, and safe software release practices.
- Ability to analyze technical issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
- Strong English communication skills, with the ability to collaborate clearly with technical stakeholders.
- High reliability, ownership mindset, and ability to work independently while maintaining consistent productivity.
- Availability for time zone overlap with Austin, Texas is preferred.
- Experience working in small, agile, or founder-led teams is a plus.
- Practical knowledge of AI agent workflows and prompt engineering is a differentiator.
